The Theatrical Productions Administrative Assistant collaborates on producing theatrical productions at the highest artistic st和ards possible, assisting with all academic 和 administrative functions that pertain to the mounting of theatrical productions produced in both the Opera Theatre 和 音乐剧 Departments.

  • Collaborate with faculty, 艺术人员, 和 production teams to develop 和 maintain comprehensive rehearsal 和 costume fitting schedules for theatrical productions, with primary focus on Undergraduate Opera Theatre productions.
  • Provide support 和 assistance before 和 during rehearsals 和 performances as needed, including room set up, managing attendance, 和 resolving scheduling conflicts, with primary focus on Undergraduate Opera Theatre productions.
  • Assist with daily monitoring of the omt@msmnyc.Edu邮箱地址, with primary focus of communication related to Undergraduate Opera Theatre productions.
  • Assist in the creation 和分布 of Provost releases for all theatrical productions; act as scheduling liaison between students 和 faculty.
  • Assist with creation of programs for theatrical productions 和 events.
  • Assist with the execution of department payroll.
  • Assist with the execution of payment for Independent Contractors.
  • Assist with production materials (score, 歌词, 翻译, 和副本), 收集, 印刷, 和分布.

工作要求

  • Undergraduate degree in music, performing arts or arts administration, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience in arts administration, st年龄 man年龄ment or opera/musical theatre production.
  • Strong knowledge of the opera 和 musical theatre repertoire, industry st和ards, 和 best practices.
  • Familiarity with 和 sensitivity to the performing arts 和 artist training environments.
  • Excellent computer skills 和 aptitude, including Microsoft Office Suite 和 database man年龄ment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail, ability to proofread 和 edit.
  • Exceptional interpersonal 和 communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Flexibility to work evenings 和 weekends as required by production schedules.

工作安排

  • This part-time (15 hours per week) position follows an academic calendar, August through May.
